About the Washington County Bar Association

Advocate for the Profession

The Washington County bar Association works to promote the profession. This is done through many ways such as improving the quality of legal education available. Additionally, work is done to ensure legal work is performed professionally and ethically. Also important to promoting the profession is our dedication encouraging public service.

Build Relationships

We provide opportunities to meet and build relationships with other members of the legal community. We have regular events and you can also participate in our community by seeing our Facebook page.

We also provide opportunities to give back to our local Washington County community, with events such as a school supply drive in summer and a toy drive in Winter. We also provide support to other local events, such as hosting the most recent district attorney debate, and supporting mock trial events for local high schools.

Advance the Rule of Law

Rule of law is a principle under which all persons, institutions, and entities are accountable to laws that are:

  • Publicly promulgated
  • Equally enforced
  • Independently adjudicated
  • And consistent with international human rights principles.

We will always work within our small sphere of influence to promote the rule of law.
